Dog Safety Sessions
for Schools

Helping children stay safe around dogs

With dog attacks on the rise, most incidents involving children happen because behaviour is misunderstood. These sessions give children clear, practical guidance to help them stay safe and make better decisions around dogs.

What children will learn:

How to recognise when a dog is happy, worried, or uncomfortable

Safe ways to approach and interact with dogs

Behaviours to avoid (and why they can be risky)

What to do if an unfamiliar dog approaches

Session format:

45–60 minute interactive session

Suitable for primary school children

Multiple sessions available across a half or full day

Why schools book this:

Supports PSHE and personal safety education

Helps reduce risk and improve awareness

Practical, easy-to-remember guidance for real-life situations
